So this past weekend my campus had their Relay for Life event! I was a captain for our Honors Program team and our on-site fundraiser actually turned out really well!! I was there for 23 hours and was so exhausted at the end of it. My boyfriend was awesome and stayed the entire time with me! Our team of 19 students made over $2000 and over $200 of that was just from our on-site fundraisers. We sold hair wraps, feather extensions, and purple hair bows. It was a lot of fun and I'm really glad I got the opportunity to be a part of it!
On another note, my first year in college ends in a week, and I'm so sad to be leaving all of my amazing friends! But at the same time, I'm so excited for next school year to begin! Next year, I am a Campus Ambassador, giving tours to prospective students, Secretary for HON, an honors registered student organization on my campus, PR for my hall, and also an Honors Mentor for a group of freshman honors students next fall! I can't wait to be so involved on campus and make a difference in students lives!!
