I saw the movie Real Steel when it was in theaters, but my family just watched it on Charter OnDemand tonight, and it's just such a great movie; so much better than I had thought it could be before seeing it. So this "myTunes" post, like most, is featuring a song from a movie, Real Steel in this instance. This is also one of those movies that makes me want to listen to a lot of Eminem.

Currently listening to: "It Will Rain" by Bruno Mars

This was the first song released from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 album and it has now been released for purchase on iTunes! So I of course had to buy it! At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Bruno Mars being on a Twilight soundtrack, but I really do like this song and can see it fitting into the movie pretty well. I approve! ;) How does everyone else feel about it??

The Animal Inside

I don't usually spend money on songs and artists that get played a lot on the radio; mostly because they are popular and then lose that popularity. I generally buy songs I hear on movies and TV shows... which brings me to what introduced this song to me in the first place. If anyone watched the first episode of ABC Family's new show The Nine Lives of Chloe King, they will probably recognize it from the very end of the episode. Right away, I loved this song, but when I listed to it on iTunes and YouTube, it didn't sound the same. Then I realized that they must've used this verison (the billboard remix) for the show. I still like the original version; I usually prefer songs that are not remixed, but it works really well for this song! Check it out!

Tyrant Tunes

First, I must apologize (haha, you’ll see why I’m laughing about this specific word choice in a minute) that it’s been so long since my last post! We had spring break recently where I went to Florida with my best friend and her family and I guess I’m just taking a little while to get back into the swing of things.

Currently listening to: “Tyrant” by OneRepublic

I’m sure most people are very familiar with OneRepublic, after their hit “Apologize”, revamped by Timbaland, was heard all over the radio a few years ago. My current obsession with this song, though, has little to nothing to do with band recognition and only the fact that I’ve heard it numerous times at the beginning of The Last Song, and only just bought it on iTunes last night. To be honest, a majority of the music on my iPod comes from songs I’ve heard in movies or on shows. I love soundtracks and even scores, because it’s nice after a movie finishes to stay in that escaped mind-set by only putting in your earbuds and letting go.

Augustine is a pop acoustic band from New York. This band is made up by the duo Louis Michael Johnson and Jordan Meredith. Ever heard of them? You may have if you've seen the new season of My Life As Liz on MTV. Louis is Liz's new cute friend in New York and looks so much like Hugh Grant that it's ridiculous, while Jordan was first introduced as Louis' roommate who's none too happy about Liz. This duo's going places, that's for sure!
